Atomic: Fintech Salon

Fintech Salon is Atomic’s curated event series, hosted alongside major financial industry gatherings, offering exclusive, meaningful conversations in an intimate setting.

Project overview

Atomic asked me to craft the identity and microsite for their ongoing event series in two weeks time. The inspiration they shared immediately sparked ideas that I was excited to translate into design.

Dialing in direction

The team initially envisioned an art deco style, but through exploration and iteration we evolved the direction into a refined, monochromatic, typography-driven identity. The color palette nods to the look and feel of paper money, while the imagery draws from the history of the original salons that inspired the event’s name—balancing elegance with a sense of heritage.

The microsite

The website was the primary deliverable—a central hub where attendees could explore event details, get inspired by the concept, and even request that Atomic host a Salon in their city.

It needed to capture the same sense of cool elegance as the curated venues themselves. I designed a simple, single-page experience enriched with thoughtful loading and scroll effects, bringing the site to life with a level of polish that conveyed a sense of luxury.

Outside the browser

I created a robust logo system designed for versatility and consistency across every brand touchpoint. The system was built to scale gracefully for different sizes and orientations, ensuring clarity and impact whether applied on the web, large-format signage, printed menus, or event giveaways. This flexibility allowed the identity to feel cohesive and elevated across both digital and physical experiences.

End-to-end

This was a rewarding project to take from concept through completion, owning every stage of the process—from early exploration and identity design to the final microsite build. Collaborating with the Atomic marketing team was a highlight; they brought inspiring ideas to the table while giving me the trust and freedom to carry the vision across the finish line.
